After the film a meeting with the actor - Zbigniew Waleryś. The meeting will conduct Łukasz Maciejewski.
Poland, 2013, 131 min, feature
screenplay, directed by Joanna Kos – Krauze, Krzysztof Krauze
cinematography: Krzysztof Ptak, Wojciech Staron
music: John Edges Pawluskiewicz
cast: Jowita Budnik, Antoni Pawlicki, Zbigniew Waleryś
The first Polish film in the Roma language. Based on the true dramatic story of Bronisława Wajs, the first Romani poet, who published her poems. It is also the story of the meeting of poets: Jerzy Ficowski noticed her great talent, encouraged to write down her songs and translated them into Polish. In 1956 Bronisława Wajs released her first book of poetry entitled "Songs of Papusza ". This would not be possible without the intercession and assistance of the third poet - Julian Tuwim. Papusza’s poems permanently enriched the Polish culture of insight into the gypsy soul.

Zbigniew Waleryś received the award of Best Supporting Actor at Film Actors’ Festival in Wroclaw, Golden Lions at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, a prize at the IFF Festival in Valladolid.

FATHER AND SON
Poland, 2013, 54 min, documentary
direction: Paweł Łoziński
screenplay and cinematography: Paweł Łoziński, Marcel Łoziński
Two prominent documentary reporters, Marcel and Paweł Łoziński, set off for a car trip around Europe. For the father it’s coming back to his birth place, for the son – an attempt to deal with the past. They both try do record this difficult dialogue with a camera. A story about the relation between a father and son – so close to each other and at the same time – so far, about love which hurts as it can’t be different, but “Father And Son” is not a pile of reproaches, it’s a mature look at one’s own life in which pain is inseparable from love. The pain they give to each other doesn’t scratch off their feelings. Yet, positive words won’t desensitise the hurt hearts. That’s what truth is like, not impressive but very universal.

A real love story…He is as charming as Marcello Mastroianni in “La dolce vita”. But he's also strapping like Brad Pitt in the “Fight Club”. He is boyish like Leonardo DiCaprio in “Titanic” and little scary, like Gary Oldman in “Dracula”. She is certainly unpredictable and instinctive like Lollobrigida, but she's also graceful and well-mannered, like Audrey Hepburn. She's girlish, like Audrey Tautou but cool and distant like Greta Garbo. She is divine, like Sophia Loren, but it's not a problem if she resembles Monica Bellucci... What happens, if He meets Her?! The film, in which anything can happen-the heroine and hero of changing faces, age, appearance, name. Only one thing is stable -the love between them. The archetypal love story assembled from more than five hundred films from around the world.
