FILM PARADISE - TRADITION, PRESENT AND FUTURE OF THE REGION
This year's 21st IFF ZOOM - ZBLIŻENIA takes place as part of the project "Film paradise - tradition, present and future of the region". There are organized international film contests, special screenings of Polish and Czech films, meetings with outstanding artists and also activities aimed at promoting our region, the Polish-Czech borderland. A lot of feature and documentary films have been created here. Many of them have been celebrated for years. During the festival, we want to draw the attention of viewers to two of them. A referrence to the projections implemented in the region will be a debate under the slogan "Investment in the film promotion of the region". To participate in the discussion: whether and how the film can be a great tool for promoting the place where it is created, we invited representatives of the film community, regional film funds, Czech and Polish local authorities and young filmmakers - festival guests. The debate is open to the public. We hope that a big attraction for the viewers will be the screening of the film "I am just passing through, it's a five-minute stop…". This is a unique film from the life of the region, which was made of fragments of German, Polish and Czech documentary archival films. The screening will be accompanied by live music.
The project is co-financed from the European Union funds as a part of the European Regional Development Fund and the state budget funds through the Euroregion Nisa.
